FAMOUS SURF (famoussurf.com) was born out of our retail store (ISLAND SURF OF CORONADO). Island Surf (the retail store) was started in 1992 and came out of one of the first real surfshops in California -Duray's- (circa 1972).

Our little retail store (Island Surf Of Coronado) has been so successful and we have gotten asked so many times, "do you have a website?" Well, we finally decided to create one, not a huge website, but a little high quality, core, real surfshop website. A website where we can give great customer service (when we are not surfing), lol. No, on a serious note, WE WILL ALWAYS GIVE YOU THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE POSSIBLE!

We try to support and buy from the smaller more unique clothing brands and also the high quality premium surf/art brands (that you can't find just anywhere). Some of the items we have on our site you will find in very few places, we like that, It makes what you buy from us unique, which in turn makes you unique. Other items are "time tested classics".
